Blessing Day

Tom blessed our daughter today and she looked like an angel in her white dress. We are so thankful for our family and friends who traveled to be with us on this special day! We are so grateful for all of your love and support!

Funny!

I hope that I never come to this with my children!
Tough Love vs. Spanking - Most of the American population thinks it improper to spank children, so I have tried other methods to control kids when they have one of 'those moments.' One that I found effective is for me to just take the child for a car ride and talk. Some say it's the vibration from the car, others say it's the time away from any distractions such as TV, Video Games, Computer, IPod, etc. Either way, my kids usually calm down and stop misbehaving after our car ride together. Eye to eye contact helps a lot too. I've included a photo below of one of my sessions with my son, in case you would like to use the technique. This works with grandchildren, nieces, and nephews as well.

I Can't Help It!

Someone at the store yesterday asked me how much longer I had and when I said 2 1/2 weeks, it was a little shocking! It's not very long! I can't help but be excited when I think of dressing her in cute little outfits. Thanks to Laura for passing on her obsession of owls. I found this shirt at Target and the other picture is what's on some pj's I found at Old Navy.

Super Saturday

I went to my sister's Super Saturday today and made this cute vinyl board. They had the mission president's wife come speak and it was awesome! She had an abusive father and her first husband was abusive, so she talked about how important we are as daughters of God and how we should make sure our husbands and children are treating us as such. She was very adamant about children talking to their mothers with respect. I'm so glad I have a wonderful husband that was raised by a such a great dad who taught him how to be respectful to women. She also made mention of something she wished she had done while her kids were growing up and that was she would shut her bedroom door when she prayed instead of leaving it open. Her point was how important it is for our children to see us praying. The other point that hit me strongly is that a husband and wife have to put in 100% not just 50/50 and how important it is for us to put our husbands first and then our children. She said that you can't make it to the celestial kingdom with just your kids, you have to have your husband and vice versa. It's funny how I knew that but never thought of it like that. I guess I just always assumed that we would put our kids first. I wish I could have recorded her talk. I love it when I feel so spiritually fed!

Pregnancy

Unlike my weird sister-in-law, Erin, I do not like being pregnant. It's not quite the party that I thought it was going to be. In some ways I wish I could stay pregnant so that I don't have to go through childbirth and worry about my baby even more. But then I can't wait to hold her in my arms and finally be able to bend over or sit without being in pain. I should just be glad that I only have to be pregnant for nine months instead of two years like elephants! (FYI-I am not convinced that I have a pregnant glow, I think it's from sweating all the time because it's so stinkin' hot!)

Happy Birthday!

HAPPY 40TH BIRTHDAY LAURA!! We love you and are so grateful to have you as the oldest and wisest sister! (You can thank Liz for the cute picture, I stole it off of her blog.)

A Little Scare

Tom and I had a little scare last night with the baby. I was walking down the stairs at the temple after finishing a session (there wasn't anyone around me) and slipped on my dress. I fell back on my already sore tailbone and slid down a few stairs. It's funny now to think about it, but at the time I just wanted to cry. I must have made a ruckus because a temple worker that had been sitting upstairs peeked over to make sure I was okay and another temple worker from around the corner came upstairs to see what had happened. I assured everyone that I was okay and it happens when you're pregnant. The guy was so nice, he put his arm out for me to grab a hold of. I then went into the dressing room and started to put my clothing away when two temple workers came up to me to make sure I was okay. I guess the guy had told these women what had happened and they were extra concerned because I was pregnant. They were worried about the baby being hurt and asked if they could call someone for me. I assured them I was fine even though I was trying not to cry because my tailbone hurt so bad. I went to my locker, changed and then went to use the bathroom. It was then that I realized that my underwear was very wet and it was not urine. I was so worried that my water had broken when I fell that I could barely think straight. I got out to the car and called the doctor's office where I had to leave a message because it was after hours. I talked to Tom and told him what had happened and that I was worried about the baby to which he reassured me that everything was probably fine. I got home and still hadn't heard back from the on-call doctor so we decided it would be best to go to the hospital and get checked out. We hadn't even gotten on the freeway when the doctor called and said that if my water had broken, it would have been a huge gush because I am only 33 weeks. She said to watch closely for an hour and if there was anymore fluid, to go in and be checked, otherwise not to worry about it. Fortunately, there ended up not being anymore fluid and the baby was moving around a lot last night. Well, the baby is fine obviously or all of you would have gotten a phone call last night. All I have is a bruised butt cheek, thigh and now my tailbone hurts so bad when I stand up, that my eyes water. I had a doctor's appointment today and everything checked out. The little stinker is still breech, so hopefully she will flip around in the next few weeks and stay there. I guess I have gained too much weight though because today I sat on the toilet seat lid to talk to Tom while he was in the bathtub and it cracked. Slightly depressing, but funny.

Nice Surprise

Last night, Tom wasn't going to Mutual because he got home from work late and they had already left on their activity. So I wasn't going to go either since I'm just the assistant camp director. I was going to get some things done around the house so we were ready for the dunes. Tom insisted that I needed to go and I was so mad that he felt like I should go but that he wasn't going. He talked me into going and I went knowing that he was right but still upset. Little did I know the leaders and girls were surprising the pregnant leaders with a baby shower. We thought we were doing individual class activities and then after opening exercises, they said to all meet together to put hygiene kits together. We walked down to our activity room and to our surprise it was decorated and there were presents for us sitting on a table. It was so sweet and thoughtful! The girls got bored while we were opening presents, which I guess only adults enjoy. But it was so fun to see what each of us got. (There were three of us.) It's so nice to have good friends in the ward.

Miracle

Here are some pictures from the ultrasound that was done today. I love how she is sucking her thumb! She is growing well even though she is smaller than average. The doctor said it looks like she has lots of hair on her head even though you can't see it in these pictures. She looks like an actual baby now and I can't believe that I will get to hold her in less than two months! A big thanks to all of you for your prayers and concern!

Erin's Baby

I don't know why but it has really been bugging me lately that we don't know if Erin is having a boy or girl. I want to know sooooooooooo bad! I can't believe that people wait until their baby is born to find out what they're having. Maybe it will be different when I have another one, but I don't think I could ever wait because I feel like it helps me be prepared. I am such a freak about making sure I'm prepared for anything. The worst part about this upcoming childbirth is that I know I can't be prepared for everything. I have no idea what it's going to be like and it's driving me crazy! I have got to stop with the what-ifs. What happens, happens and I know I have a great family to help me out if I'm not prepared for whatever lies in the future.

Lake Powell

We just got back from Lake Powell Tuesday night. We had a lot of fun but are glad to be home sleeping in our own bed that we know can't deflate. I do miss sleeping under the stars that were absolutely gorgeous. Tom was amazing at skiing, wakeboarding, kneeboarding and surfing. The boys even caught some fish which the kids thought was cool. I thought it was hot but I guess that is from being pregnant. A tip for those who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, a maternity swimsuit would be a good investment. It is very uncomfortable wearing a suit that is too tight. I am getting excited to go to the sand dunes next week. It seems like forever since we went last time.

Hospital Tour

Last night I talked Tom into going with me to tour the women's center at the hospital so he would know where to go when the big day comes and I was interested in checking out the rooms. He didn't really want to go and showed very little interest in the tour, but it was really cute when he started asking me questions to make sure he knew where to go and what to do. He asked me on the way out if he could bring the Xbox so he would have something to do. I love my husband and he has definitely taught me to have a sense of humor. I'm getting very excited to finally have my baby girl here! I look at the pictures that Liz and Erin took when I got my new maternity clothes and had a glass bowl under my shirt to see what I would look like down the road and now it's here. I'm bigger than the glass bowl! You don't realize how much you bend over when shaving your legs until you can't breathe because you're so big!

Doctor's Appt

I'm sorry for my lack of blogging. I can't find our camera so I can't take pictures of the things I want to blog about. Anyway, I had a doctor's appointment today and since I've been pregnant I've only gained one pound altogether! As nice as that is, I don't know if I would say the morning sickness was worth it. For those of you giving me a sound of disgust, I did gain four pounds this last month, which I'm actually excited about because I hope this means my baby is getting bigger. She definitely is causing mini-earthquakes inside me.

Ward Campout

We got back yesterday from our ward campout and it was tons of fun! We left Thursday night with our friends, Ace and Janel, so we would have more time up there. On Friday, Janel agreed to go with me to Park City for the best sales/discounts (thanks to Becky!) and she ended up spending more money than I did! We had quite the party shopping for little girl's clothes! Janel said she would have enjoyed riding ATV's with the boys, but that the shopping was way more fun. We took longer than we thought but got back in time for dinner with the ward. Tom and I stayed up way too late playing Scum with some other couples but it was too fun to go to bed! Saturday morning, the ward took some canoes out on the lake and of course Tom tipped one over and knocked some young men in. He even stuck his fishing pole in and caught a fish. Even though it was hot, we had some good times.

It's Not Over Yet!

I had a doctor's appointment and my glucose/diabetes test today. So I went without food for a few hours and then drank the orange drink and went in early to have my blood drawn before the appt. The nurse had said to bring some peanuts to eat afterwards so I would have some protein to prevent getting sick. I got my blood drawn, ate some nuts and waited to see the doctor. Everything was going fine until I went to the bathroom at the beginning of the appt for my urine test. I started to not feel so well and needless to say, the baby doesn't like glucose and it ended up all over the toilet. And to think my vomiting days were over!

My Grandpa

My Grandpa was finally able to be reunited with his wife today. What a happy reunion for the both of them! What a relief that he isn't suffering any longer. I'm so grateful for the legacy that my grandparents left behind. I have such a wonderful example to be able to follow. What a blessing it is to have such a wonderful family!

AND HE'S OFF!

My next youngest brother is off to boot camp! He will be going to Fort Benning in Georgia and will be back sometime in November. This time my family was told to be at the processing center at 7:00am so that we could watch him get sworn in and say goodbye. We sat there until after 11:00am and finally they said they were ready for us. So I will be given a free army t-shirt from the recruiter for making a pregnant woman wait so long.

Newton Family Campout

We just got back yesterday from the Newton Family Campout. We went to Palisade Lake and had some fun sailing and riding our ATVs. I was very glad to have air conditioning in our trailer because I feel more hot than usual thanks to being pregnant. Hopefully we will not be having anymore problems with the trailer tires because we have now replaced ALL of them this year! The first one's tread came off on the way home from the dunes, the second one's tread came off on the way to the Thomson campout, the third one got a nail in it the night before we left on the Newton campout and the fourth one's tread came off on the way to the Newton campout. Luckily, none of them caused an accident and thankfully I have a strong, wonderful husband who can change tires quickly.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Happy 50th Birthday Dad! I remember the day you took my training wheels off of my bike. I was so mad when you let go of the seat after pushing me for a minute, but then I realized I could do it by myself. Thank you for all those times you let me do things by myself after giving me a push in the right direction and letting me know you where there to catch me if I fell. I love you!!

Educational

I went to Hogle Zoo yesterday with Janel and her kids because she was worried about handling all three by herself. We had a ton of fun and I actually learned some things about animals that I didn't know. It was fun to watch the reaction from the kids as they saw different things. The first thing they wanted to see was the elephants until they saw the train. We sat through the bird show which I still don't think the kids believe that the bird was actually talking. I can't wait until my kids are old enough to enjoy those kind of things. I am so very grateful to my Mom though for taking us kids all over when we were younger to experience many different things. After helping chase kids at Wheeler Farm and Hogle Zoo, I don't know how she did it with six kids! She really is Super Mom!

Doctor Appt

I just got back from my doctor's appointment. They have moved my due date to Sunday, November 9th because the baby was not measuring as far along as she should have been at the last ultrasound. They will do another ultrasound next week to check on her and see how big she is, but the nurse did feel her move today when she was finding her heartbeat. I have lost a 1/2 pound instead of gaining so I will need Liz to make me some of her yummy peanut butter cookies and Jeanette to make me some of her delicious peanut butter fingers. Just kidding. Hope everyone has a great 4th!

To Sleepover or NOT to SLEEPover

I went to Liz's house last night for her vinyl party and bought a really cute piece that will go on a glass block that I can put on my bookcase. We were going to scrapbook but Liz was too tired so we stayed up talking or at least I was talking until she fell asleep, snoring on the couch. Fortunately for her, I am losing my memory with my brain cells so by this time next week I will probably have forgotten all about it. We did scrapbook today, after I was awakened by Seth making motorcycle noises right by the bed for I swear 20 minutes straight! But his cute hugs and the way he says my name made it worth it. And if you ever need someone to talk to, Chloe will be there asking questions and saying how "cute" and "adorable" everything is. I am coming to a realization that maybe I shouldn't have laughed at Liz all those times she called and complained about the kids driving her crazy. This might come back to bite me in the butt.

New Hairdo

I went to Krista's and got my hair cut today. She loves to style it curly so she made me buy a good diffuser and some hair product so that I could do it curly for Maddy's baptism. What do you think?

Weekend

Tom and I had a good weekend. On Saturday, we both slept in some and then ran some errands. That night we went up and had dinner with Wendy, Russ and some of their friends. And while sitting at the restaurant, I felt the baby kick. Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure this is not the first time I have felt her move, but she was definitely kicking this time. On Sunday, we went to Liz's for dinner and had tasty potatoes, rolls and cookies. Where is the meat in this you ask? Burnt! But that is why we have husbands who will eat it for us.

little excited

I'm a little excited and proud that I did this all by myself. Who would have thought? Certainly not my sister-in-laws. JK They had the boards and vinyl at girls camp last week so I painted the board while I was up there but didn't have time to put on the vinyl, so I finished it today. I might sand the edges though if I can find sandpaper.

It's Official!

My brother was formally sworn into the army yesterday by our family friend who has been in the military forever. It was supposed to be at 9:00am but I got a phone call at 7:20am saying that we had to be there right then. I jumped out of bed and got dressed and then headed over to the Military Processing Center. I guess his flight was earlier than the head honchos planned because we were rushed to get him sworn in and say our goodbyes and then they took him to the airport. He was anxious to get to Oklahoma and see what to expect. I hope to get pictures of him in his uniform with his hair chopped off to see what he looks like. (They don't issue uniforms, etc. until they get to the base.) He is now in the Lord's hands and I'm trying my best to have faith that everything will be okay and he will survive the intense training for the next 9 weeks. After all the chaos, I went to Wal-Mart with my Mom and sister to pick out yarn for a baby blanket my Mom is crocheting. Then we got to meet up with my aunt for lunch, who is here from Las Vegas visiting my Grandpa. It was fun to hear everything my cousins, that I never see, have been up to. Last night I watched Definitely, Maybe with my friend, Lori and for those of you who want to see it, DON'T! It's a really stupid chick flick.

Last Two Weeks

It's been a crazy, emotional yet fun-filled two weeks. The week before last, we had the Thomson Family Campout which was a blast! Hopefully everyone had fun! Then this last week, I had girl's camp which was tons of fun but also crazy. On the first day, one of our young woman had a seizure at our campsite which scared the other girls. Then the next night, I got to talk to the girls for awhile to convince them not to be scared of the bears. It was amazing to me to see things clicking in their heads as we talked of faith, scriptures, prayer and our fears. Thursday night was amazing as I could see how their testimonies and mine had grown. I had mentioned to the YW President that I was worried about raising my children in these scary times but then I realized how strong the youth are these days. Even though we had some PMS and quarreling going on, the girls and leaders had a BLAST! Then yesterday, some of my family got together to spend time with my brother before he ships out on Tuesday for boot camp. We won't see him until February because he will go do his advanced training right after boot camp. I am so sad he won't be here to see his first niece or stand in on the baby blessing. To make things even more emotional, we got a phone call yesterday saying that my Grandpa wants us to pray and fast that he will pass on. He's been ready for awhile and he misses my Grandma so much. What a happy reunion it will be for the both of them! But on the bright side, we got another phone call saying that Tom's dad might be accepted into a program to try a drug that could cure Alzheimer's. What a miracle! Lately I've been reminded that we are here on our Heavenly Father's timetable and knowing he can see the bigger picture and knows and loves us so much makes it easier to accept his will whatever that might be. I know that he will take care of everything because he even "considers the lilies of the field".

baby clothes

I found these cute baby clothes for a great deal! What do you think? The two long-sleeve onesies came with the striped pants. And then I found these darling shirts!

Sick of Being Sick

I know I sound like a little child, but I just want someone to take care of me! Don't get me wrong I love being pregnant because I can't wait for my little girl to come, but I'm sick of the morning sickness and this morning I woke up throwing up and sitting on the toilet. I finally fell asleep for a few hours and thought I felt better but then I ran to the bathroom only to sit on the toilet and throw up again several more times. I tried drinking because I am so worried about getting dehydrated and I'm so thirsty, but I threw it back up. At least the Coke has stayed down, for now. And now I'm up because laying down hurts because I've been in bed all day! I am excited for the campout though and you would think that by now I would have directions of how to get there to everyone, but thankfully you are all patient and I'm sorry I haven't been the most organized person lately. Check back Sunday night and the directions should be on my blog. Good news, Tom has found another girl name that he likes instead of just Kennedy! Danielle, not my fave, but at least we are making progress!

Good Weekend

Tom and I had a good weekend. We had a ward party early Saturday morning where there was a 5K and breakfast. We got to get up at 6:30am thanks to our new calling as part of the Activities Committee. Then we went and saw Indiana Jones #4 which was good except for the aliens. That evening we went to a birthday party for a friend's daughter and on Sunday we had church and I had a meeting but I got to take a short nap in the late afternoon. Not too exciting, I feel like we are becoming an old married couple. I got through most of my boxes today and I should be able to get them finished up in the morning! I have a feeling that I'm not going to get everything done I thought I would before the campout, but oh well. I'm trying to prioritize and not jump ahead of myself to start on another project before the one I am working on is done. I am glad to have this time to get things done because I can't imagine getting this done with a baby.

Clearance from Target

I couldn't pass up this cute onesie I found on clearance at Target yesterday.

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My baby is a beautiful and wiggly I might add, girl!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited to finally know what I'm having!! We found out Tuesday night thanks to Krista! Her friend let us come down and she did an ultrasound for us. It was amazing to watch my, I mean our, beautiful girl wiggle and squirm. And yes, Tom is excited because he figured it was a girl from the start. We got some good pictures which I will bring to FHE if anyone wants to see. I am so anxious to have this baby but at the same time nervous that I will no longer see the backs of my eyelids!

Chloe's Future

This is what Chloe would look like if she was pregnant today with a glass bowl. Her future children are going to be so lucky to have her as a Mom because she has such a great Mom as an example!

ONE OF MY FAVES!

This is one of my favorites, I love it!

MATERNITY PICS!

Erin and Liz took these pictures for me last week after Erin and I had gone shopping for maternity clothes. These are the cute outfits I found thanks to Erin's fashion sense! In some of these pictures, I am also wearing a glass bowl. See if you can figure out which ones are which and put it in my comments. There will be a prize for the first person who gets it right (excluding Erin and Liz).

Coming Up!

I talked to Laura yesterday, the girl that will give me an ultrasound at the hospital where she works, and she said to call her at the end of next week so we can schedule it! So it should be in about two weeks! The only thing is I'm not sure if we should wait until FHE on the 25th to tell everyone what we're having. It's only a few days, maybe a week at most. What does everyone think? The poll so far (Laura Lewis) is showing that I couldn't wait that long.

Long week

I'm glad the week is coming to an end. I've done some stupid things this week and I just want to start a new week over, plus my doctor's appointment is next week and I'm hoping they will listen to the heartbeat again. I am collecting for the car accident fund for the next time it happens. I can't believe how many things have happened to my car since we've been married! I think if Tom had known how much I would cost for car insurance, he may have thought twice before asking me to marry him. He reminded me last night of all the things that have happened because they kind of all blur together now.
-a few weeks before we got married, I failed to yield on a left turn and someone hit me
-at a baby shower, someone hit my car and took off
-some punks broke into my car through the window and stole my stereo
-a girl backed into my car in the church parking lot (Wednesday)
-a girl failed to yield to me when she was turning left and I smacked into her (Wednesday)
-and on Wednesday I backed out of my driveway and hit some lady

Jeannette, you may hate Mondays but I hate Wednesdays! The last three I specifically remember happening on Wednesdays. And to think we were just going to switch insurance companies. Oh well, at least this gave me something to write on my blog.

43 DAYS TO CAMPOUT!

I am getting very excited about the campout! I hope everyone is too! I've emailed everyone the meal assignments so check your email. Also, those of you who didn't bring your music on Sunday, please get it to us as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I don't have any exciting stories to tell. Jeannette, I hope you feel better! At least now you have a story to tell, just tell your YW that you were riding your four wheeler. That sounds way cooler!

Dunes Pics

This is what everyone claims I did most of the trip to the sand dunes.
Here I am waiting for Tom to finish putting the tire on the trailer.

Here is my hubbie after changing our trailer tire, although if you close your eyes you can imagine the picture with the sand dunes behind him. I forgot to take pictures while we were at the dunes, so I took some on the way home.

Girl Stuff

Last night I went to dinner with Liz and Erin for Liz's birthday. We went to the Olive Garden and I even got them to sing her a bday song which made her turn a little red. Then we went to Becky's shoe party where I found a way cute pair of strappy, brown sandals. Then I stayed up way too late and watched stupid TV shows. How come I always do that when I am really tired? I just got back from lunch with my Mom and sister which was fun because we rarely get together for something like that. I'm excited to go to my cousin's wedding reception tonight because I will get to see some relatives that live out of state. It makes me miss my Grandma even more because she would always try to get the family together when it was spring/summer and we would have a reunion in the park. Spring isn't the same without her because we would sit out on her back patio and eat Pizza Hut and chocolate milk. We would pick honeysuckles off of her bushes and lick the honey off of the insides. She always had beautiful flowers, especially her "red hot pokers". When I was younger, she would go with me outside and we would count how many "pokers" she had. Of course we always had ice cream with her homemade fudge sauce before we left. And then she would have my Mom go "shopping" in her storage room for food, we would pick out movies we wanted to borrow from her movie library, pile in our minivan (fighting for the front seat or middle seat by the door) and then she would stand in the driveway and wave until we were out of sight. I miss you Grandma!

WHOO-HOO!

I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Krista just told me that one of her client's does ultrasounds and she will do one for me at 16-17 weeks for free!!!!!!!!!! She is my new favorite sister-in-law. (Sorry Liz. If you give me the jean jacket you can have your title back.)

Weekend Fun!

We had fun at the dunes, even though everyone said I slept the whole time. It was so nice to take naps and relax. Tom didn't ride very much, because his bike was broken and he was fixing things that kept breaking on the trailer. Thanks to Brad for helping with our furnace so we didn't freeze to death! I'm so glad my husband is such a handyman! He fixed the water heater, furnace, water pump, battery and who knows what else. Then on the way home the tread came off of one of the trailer tires and the brakes were smoking on the truck. We pulled over in the middle of nowhere and Tom realized that the trailer wasn't plugged in all the way to the truck, so we had been using just the truck brakes the whole time! He changed the tire and I snapped some pictures which I will add later. But he still can't fix his bike which is killing him, his baby is broken. =(
Saturday night, Tom had UFC fight night, so I went to my mother-in-law's house and did pedicures with her and my sister-in-law, which felt really good. On Sunday we went to Wendy's for dinner and played Guitar Hero and American Idol. We had spaghetti which I thought tasted funny but I thought maybe the parmesan cheese was bad that I had put on it. I kept eating it and then when I was finished I found out that the meat in the sauce was half elk. GROSS! Tom doesn't believe me that I didn't like it, he asked why I didn't say anything and of course I wouldn't because that's mean!
Anyway, I can't say I'm thrilled to be back to work but at least now there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

UGH!

Of course work is dragging because I can't wait to get to the dunes! 27 more hours, I wish we were leaving tonight. I'm excited that so many of us are going! What a PARTY! Tom and I went to Wendy's to pick up the trailer and then went to Wal-Mart last night to get camping groceries. We didn't leave the store until 11:00pm. It was actually one of our faster trips and I had made a list (thanks to Liz!) but I always seem to drag my feet even if I want to hurry. I think they have some kind of special gas or something that makes me indecisive and stupid. I told Megan she could come live with us so I have someone to cook and clean house, but I really wish I had someone to do my grocery shopping. Oh and maybe fold my laundry too. I don't have a problem actually starting the laundry, but I HATE folding it and putting it away. I don't know why. Poor Tom, I don't think he realized what he was getting into. He's so good to do the dishes and clean up around the house. I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful husband and he's been extra caring since I've been pregnant and he caught me throwing up one morning. He really is my Prince Charming! It's amazing to me how much more I find myself loving him each day. He's such a HUNK!

SAND DUNES HERE WE COME!!!

I am so freakin' excited for the dunes! Less than 72 hours to go! I know I won't really be able to ride much, but I am excited to be outdoors and be with family! Tom and I went to the Yamaha dealer yesterday to get some bike parts and I saw the cutest pair of little girl riding pants that were black and pink. Of course Tom asked me why I was looking at girl things, but I think he has come to realize that he might have to live with 2 girls instead of one. I can't stop being anxious for the ultrasound. I can't wait to find out if I'm having a girl or boy. I don't care either way I just want to know. I think though, that this might be a blessing in disguise, because otherwise it would give me several more months to stock up on cute clothes.

11 Week Check-up

This is my first post and thanks to Liz now I can share my intimate doctor's appointments details with the world. I went to my doctor today and I lost 6 pounds! Unfortunately, it hasn't come off of my stomach, instead people have been commenting on how skinny my behind is looking. It was amazing to hear the heartbeat and now I feel officially pregnant! I love saying "my baby" when I talk to people about my pregnancy and now I know that I really do have a baby growing inside of me. I can't wait for the ultrasound which will be in 7 weeks! I'm so glad that it's finally my turn to be pregnant! I am trying to enjoy what brain cells and time to myself that I have left. This really is a miracle and I feel so blessed that I can be a mother.
